Ziliang Liu (Ph.D. in Science) is an assistant professor (Class A) and research fellow at the Fudan Institute for Advanced Study in Social Sciences (IAS-Fudan), recruited for Fudan University's Strategic Talent Introduction Program (“Young Elite”), and Doctoral Supervisor. His main research interests include urban governance and economic geography, environmental governance and environmental economics, industrial policy and industrial transformation, and local government governance. In recent years, he has published more than ten papers in top academic journals both domestically and internationally. His representative works have appeared in Nature Cities (2025, 2026), PNAS Nexus (2024), and the Journal of Economic Geography  (2026). He also presides over the National Natural Science Foundation of China Young Scientists Fund (Category C) and the Peking University–Lincoln Institute Thesis Scholarship Project. He has also participated in the compilation of key disciplinary textbooks and entries for the Encyclopedia of China.
